Bread & Butter Pickles with Attitude

1 GAL large dill pickles (whole), drain juice and cut into ¼ to 1/8 inch slices.
Put in large bowl and add:
4 cups sugar
2 – 3 tbsp minced onion (fresh or flakes)
3 – 4 cloves garlic (crushed) or more to taste
1 small bottle Tabasco sauce
Set our for 4 hours (stir or shake to dissolve sugar)
Return to jar and refrigerate.
